JTC Member puts Jaguar’s Newest “Cats” through their Paces

Having received an invitation to Jaguar’s
Driving Experience and having too
much time on my hands, I accepted the
chance to test-drive Jaguar’s 2013 line-up. I
even got Carolyn to join me.
On October 26, Carolyn and I drove up to
Playland in Rye, NY. This gave me a chance to
stretch my ’84 XJ6’s paws on a nice fall weather
day. I had been having some transmission and
other minor problems, but after some basic
maintenance with the help of Motorcraft, and
some tweaking, all was good.
Not knowing how big the event was, upon
arrival, I found the parking area filled with
cars. There were some Jags, including one
E-type, but there were an abundance of
BMWs, Lexus’, Audi’s, and Corvettes. The
temporary building that was erected was quite
large and was emblazoned with “Jaguar”.
Finally, I could see the stable of Jaguars
waiting to show their mettle.
